PLASTIC COVERS. IDEAS. SOLUTIONS.
RETILPLAST Srl is a manufacturer of innovative reinforced plastic sheets designed for the protective covering of vineyards and soft-fruit orchards, with particular attention to their installation on wire-frame trellis systems.Using our modern production technologies we can apply innovative and extremely robust reinforcements on the edges of our films and plastic-coated fabrics, delivering competitive solutions that combine high strength with simplified and low-cost management of the protective roofing systems.
Our company brings together technical and agronomic know-how, accumulated through over 30 years of service and cooperation with growers all over the world. We understand and anticipate the problems and needs of our customers, which is why we offer considerable customization of our products thanks to the flexibility of our manufacturing process.
EDGE AND CENTRAL REINFORCEMENTS
RETILPLAST uses an innovative fusion process to apply additional layers of plastic fabric on the edges and in the centre of our film covers and woven tarpaulin covers. This reinforcement technique creates a vital strengthening of the plastic covers when installed and anchored to support structures in fruit farming.POD: PROTECTIVE COVER
We provide the option to integrate a protective POD cover directly onto our plastic films and woven tarpaulins. Our advanced production technique allows us to weld a 30cm wide strip of white protective cover onto one of the reinforced edges.
This POD cover acts as a protective wrapping for the conservation of closed plastic films and woven tarpaulins. Growers are able to roll up and close the films and tarpaulins on the top ridge wire, and the POD cover protects them from UV radiation, dust and rain.
This process of storing the closed plastic covers in the fields provides a simplification of the opening and closing process and a notable saving of time.

INNOVATION
- Uniform light and temperature below the covers
- Does not create stagnation of hot air pockets and condensation
- More resistant to gusts of wind as it does not suffer from the wind sail effect
- The covers are installed at a height between 2.30 ÷ 2,50 mt
- The system allows for pratical opening and closing of the covers, resulting in economic management of the structure without the use of mechanical tools
- Cost of the structure and roofing materials identical to the tent-like gable roof
TENT-LIKE GABLE ROOF ("CAPANNINA")
TRADITION
- Subject to the formation of stagnant air and condensation with high temperature
- Presence of burns on the high part of the vegetation
- "Wind Sail Effect" during strong gusts of wind.
The structure is subject to high forces during bad weather because the covers act like sails and collecting and opposing wind - Need to partially open the covering during the flowering period because the high temperatures could cause flower abortion or irregular berry size.
